Position Specific Description
We are seeking an experienced development leader to join NextEra Energy Resources’ Hub Integration team and lead the development and execution of large-scale energy infrastructure Hubs supporting hyperscale data centers and other large-load customers.
The Project Director will serve as the primary integrator for one or more Hubs, coordinating concurrent workstreams across power generation, battery storage, powered land, transmission and interconnection, commercial activities, and supporting infrastructure. This individual will drive overall project execution by establishing priorities, managing milestones and dependencies, resolving risks, facilitating decisions, and maintaining alignment across internal teams and external stakeholders.
This highly visible role requires a proven track record leading complex infrastructure or development projects from concept through execution, as well as the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong judgment, synthesize complex or incomplete information, escalate critical issues appropriately, and communicate effectively across technical, commercial, and executive audiences. They must be comfortable leading cross-functional teams, engaging customers and external stakeholders, and presenting project status, risks, recommendations, and key decisions to VP and senior executive leadership.
Candidates should bring approximately 7+ years of relevant development, infrastructure, energy, real estate, engineering, construction, or other complex project experience, including meaningful experience personally leading large, multidisciplinary projects. Direct experience with power generation, data centers, large-load development, transmission/interconnection, battery storage, or powered land development is beneficial but not required.
