Job Summary

The work within the Emerging Technology Office (ETO) is a critical part of Duke Energy’s corporate strategy through the demonstration and deployment of emerging technologies such as long duration storage, transportation electrification, distributed intelligence, and other customer products and services. There is an increased focus on these initiatives by the company with more urgent needs for data and integration of emerging technologies into daily operations.

The Technology Development Manager position will work on complex problems in engineering and emerging technology areas, with the ability to work independently and across multiple technical disciplines. A successful candidate will lead and coordinate strategic initiatives and project activities for the ETO, supporting the development and execution of technology assessment, evaluation and demonstration projects.

This position will be responsible for monitoring technology trends, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and coordination throughout the technology development lifecycle. The employee will help develop project plans, coordinate project milestones and deliverables, facilitate stakeholder engagement, monitor project performance, and support the development of project documentation and reports.
