Under general supervision, the Plant Leaderis responsible and accountable for the continuous safe and efficient management of a large maintenance department covering electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, planning and contractor management. Provides leadership, coaching, counseling, advising and teaching to others through day to day contact. Directs, monitors and evaluates performance of direct reports within the reporting organization. Prepares, controls and administers budgets to achieve business results relating to overall performance, cost efficiency and reliability. Coordinates all plant work management activities between the Operations and Maintenance Departments to optimize operational performance goals such as unit reliability, EAF, EFOR, etc. Ensures work priorities are properly established to achieve operational goals, supporting short term, long term, and outage maintenance plans. Manages equipment outage scheduling to achieve optimum balance between market demands, operational performance, and maintenance resource availability. Provides regular communication with System Energy Coordination office.
