What you’ll do:
As a Digital & Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for executing Northland Power’s digital communications strategy and strengthening the company’s presence across global markets. Working closely with the Corporate Affairs leadership team, you will own execution and the day-to-day management of Northland’s corporate website and social media channels, including developing engaging content, executing digital campaigns, managing online communities and using analytics to continuously optimize performance.
Reporting to Manager of Communications & Workplace Services, this is a hands-on, execution-focused role for a digital communications professional who can translate strategy into action. The successful candidate will work closely with teams across the business to identify opportunities, tell Northland’s story, amplify key milestones and enhance engagement with priority audiences.
This role is based at our Toronto headquarters and requires employees to work from the office a minimum of four days per week in accordance with Northland's hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications and experience
Demonstrated experience developing and executing digital and social media strategies for a global organization.
Experience using social media management, listening and analytics tools to monitor performance and generate insights.
Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging content for multiple digital platforms.
Strong understanding of digital analytics and the ability to use data to inform content and channel strategies.
