Own the Cash Strategy. Influence the Business. Work Directly with Leadership.
Trinity Solar, one of the nation’s leading residential solar companies, is looking for a Treasury Manager / Assistant Controller to take ownership of some of the most critical financial levers in our business.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a highly visible, hands-on role with exposure to executive leadership and our private equity partner. You’ll own cash forecasting and liquidity management, strengthen working capital performance, manage key banking and lender relationships, and partner across Finance, Sales, and Operations to improve how cash moves through the business.
This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys being close to the business and close to the decisions. If you can see the story behind the numbers, anticipate what’s coming, and turn financial insight into action, we want to hear from you.
Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000/year plus 20% annual bonus potential
Responsibilities:
- Cash Forecasting & Liquidity: Own the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and daily cash position reporting, analyze variances, identify trends, and proactively communicate liquidity risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Executive & PE Reporting: Provide clear daily and weekly liquidity reporting and insights to executive leadership and our private equity partner.
- Working Capital & Collections: Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations leaders to improve receivable performance, address billing and funding delays, and accelerate cash collection from residential solar installations.
- Vendor Strategy: Negotiate payment terms, extended terms, early-pay arrangements, and supply-chain financing opportunities with key vendors to optimize working capital.
- Lender & Covenant Compliance: Prepare lender reporting packages, oversee letters of credit, monitor financial covenants, and ensure timely compliance with credit facility and financing requirements.
- Banking & Cash Management: Manage banking relationships, account structures, cash movements, and weekly disbursement activity.
- Controllership Support: Partner with the Controller and Accounting team on month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and accurate financial reporting.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key financial partner to Sales and Operations, helping leaders understand the cash impact of business decisions and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Process Improvement & Technology: Identify opportunities to automate and improve treasury, forecasting, collections, and reporting processes using tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and AI-enabled technology.
- Insurance Oversight: Depending on experience, support or oversee the company's captive workers' compensation and property & casualty insurance programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience across treasury, corporate finance, accounting, or controllership.
- Hands-on experience building and managing 13-week cash flow forecasts and daily liquidity reporting.
- Experience managing or improving accounts receivable and collections, preferably within a high-growth, sales-driven, asset finance, construction, or renewable energy environment.
- Working knowledge of lender reporting and financial covenant compliance under credit agreements.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, treasury, or cash-management systems; NetSuite and Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with vendors, lenders, and other financial partners.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to executives and non-financial business leaders.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
Why This Role?
This isn't a back-office treasury position. You'll have direct CFO exposure, visibility with our PE partner, and a seat at the table on decisions that directly impact cash flow and business performance.
You'll have the opportunity to strengthen processes, introduce new technology, influence leaders across the organization, and help build a more scalable finance operation as Trinity Solar continues to evolve.
