The Gas Process Owner is responsible for facilitating continuous improvement projects and events for Gas Operations. This individual will perform analysis, lead Kaizen events, work with individuals at all levels and help enable a continuous improvement culture. This position will lead, motivate and influence cross functional teams from across the organization. The incumbent is responsible for achieving goals and targets of projects that may be up to $1 MM in scope.

**Responsibilities**

• Lead complex or high profile, cross-functional continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology
• Facilitate project identification and completion with stakeholders, process owners and project teams
• Perform the following internal consulting services process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, methods development, establishing performance standards/metrics, return on investment or value proposition analysis, project management and detailed process analysis using Lean Six Sigma, Agile & Design Thinking tools
• Utilize data and LSS framework to help teams develop and implement solutions
• Perform change management functions to ensure successful implementation
• Stimulate management thinking by tactfully challenging conventional wisdom through demonstration of the application of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Utilize data and EQ framework to help project team develop and implement solutions

**Required/Basic Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree
• In addition to bachelor's degree, four (4) years minimum of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
• PMP Certification
• Demonstrated effective use of analytical and soft skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of effective meeting facilitation and preparation of technical documentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Minitab and workflow process software (ex. iGrafx, Visio, etc.)
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams

Working Conditions

• Hybrid Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees must live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility, not greater than 50 miles one way. Employees are expected to report to their assigned Duke Energy facility as required and directed by their manager, on average 3 full workdays per regular workweek.
