Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is$107,200 - $178,600 annually, and the good faith estimated starting pay for this position upon hire is $120,000 - $150,000annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.
Scope of Job:The SAP QA Lead is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader, responsible for driving our SAP quality assurance strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality SAP solutions. This role requires deep expertise in both SAP modules and the Tricentis suite of products (especially Tricentis Tosca), with a strong focus on test automation, continuous improvement, and the effective management of both on-site and offshore QA resources.
Work Mode: Hybrid or Remote. Candidates or employees residing within 25 miles of a EDF power solutions work location will be considered Hybrid (3 days on-site).
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership
- Develops, implements, and maintains the overall SAP QA and testing strategy, roadmap, framework and scheduling
- Supports both manual and automated testing by working with the team on how we transition to an automated test environment.
- Leads and mentors a diverse team of QA resources, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and development teams to define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and testing scope for all SAP projects and enhancements.
- Drives the adoption of best practices in SAP quality assurance, including risk-based testing, performance testing, and security testing.
- Oversees the entire testing lifecycle, from test planning and design to execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Offshore Resource Management
- Manages and provides leadership to a team of offshore QA resources, ensuring they are aligned with project goals and company standards.
- Establishes clear communication channels and processes to facilitate seamless collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
- Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for the offshore team to ensure productivity, quality, and timely delivery.
- Conducts regular meetings with the offshore team to provide feedback, guidance, and professional development support on their testing capabilities.
- Acts as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and the offshore team, managing expectations and resolving any issues that arise.
- Automation
- Spearhead the development and maintenance of a robust SAP test automation suite using Tricentis Tosca.
- Identifies opportunities for automation within manual testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage, and delegates automation tasks effectively to the team.
- Establishes and manages an automation framework that supports continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Provides technical guidance and expertise to the team on complex automation challenges, including SAP UI5, Fiori, and backend processes.
- Support & Operations
- Establishes and manages a solid testing and quality assurance process for ongoing SAP support and maintenance activities.
- Coordinates regression testing cycles for SAP patches, upgrades, and scheduled system changes.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters within the SAP landscape.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive quality metrics and dashboards to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Manages and troubleshoots testing environments, ensuring they are stable and available for testing activities.

Supervision of Others: No direct reports
Working Conditions: 80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with a strong focus on SAP.
- Proven experience as a QA Lead or Manager, with a track record of successfully directing daily work or leading teams and delivering high-quality results.
- Demonstrable experience managing offshore or distributed teams, including a solid understanding of the challenges and best practices involved.
- Deep hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca is a must, including designing and implementing end-toend automation test cases for SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
- Solid understanding of SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, PM, LO and SAP Ariba, Concur, FSM, etc.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into a comprehensive QA strategy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Tricentis Tosca certification is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, Python) is a plus.
