The role of the Senior Finance Systems Analyst sits within the SPT P&R department reporting to the Regulatory & Finance Systems Operations Manager. They will be primarily responsible for leading the ongoing effectiveness of SPT’s financial, and financially impacted systems, in producing accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient end-to-end processing.
The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will be working in conjunction with SPT finance system users, as well as the wider SPEN business that supports the technology and governance of SPT financial processes.
What you’ll be doing
This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing SPT's Finance Systems, working closely with Finance, IT and external partners to deliver system improvements, new functionality and efficient business processes. You'll capture and analyse business requirements, help coordinate project delivery, and support system testing, implementation and business readiness activities.
As the Finance Systems subject matter expert, you'll provide high-quality support to users, resolve system queries and promote best practice through training, guidance and process documentation. You'll also maintain a strong understanding of finance systems and processes to ensure users can maximise system capabilities and adhere to agreed ways of working.
A key focus of the role is driving continuous improvement, data quality and system performance. You'll identify opportunities to enhance finance processes, maintain business documentation, support system releases and work with stakeholders across the business to ensure finance systems continue to meet operational and strategic requirements.
