SUMMARY
Mortenson is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager I or II - BLUvera that will be responsible to support the vision, direction, and day to day operations of the Supply Chain organization. You will work closely with manufacturing operations teams and suppliers to plan, coordinate, and execute Supply Chain activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to meet manufacturing timelines and requirements at various manufacturing facilities.
This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Operations and Strategy
- Responsible for managing and implementing short and long-term sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives for the Supply Chain function and contribute to Company-wide strategy.
- Define and direct sourcing initiatives in alignment with strategic plans and supply chain strategies.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts and agreements with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
- Establish strong and effective relationships with key suppliers (existing and new) to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, while leveraging the combined buying power of Mortenson’s manufacturing operations
- Collaborate across all business functions to formulate, implement, and execute sourcing and continuous improvement strategies.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and lead the implementation of best practices for supply chain
- Provide centralized leadership to designated aspects of manufacturing-specific procurement and identify aspects that necessitate independent, site-level procurement
- Provide strategy guidance to category team on long lead material opportunities.
- Partner with key stakeholders (internal and external) to oversee successful rollout of Oracle modules, including Supply Planner to manage demand and materials planning activities to ensure supply availability, production readiness, and alignment with manufacturing schedules.
- Establish supplier performance management routines, including scorecards (KPIs), business reviews, corrective action plans, and escalation processes for quality, cost, delivery, and service performance.
People Leadership
- Lead the work of the buyer team, while establishing strategies for sourcing and supply chain with process excellence focus.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and integration within Supply Chain and across Mortenson to provide cohesive solutions and ensure effective delivery of strategy.
- Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance.
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
- Champion superior customer service by ensuring a customer focused approach and strong service orientation.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment and materials, purchasing processes and procedures
- Manufacturing R&D supply chain planning and execution
- Ability to analyze data, develop dashboards, and identify trends
- Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal and communication skills
- Proven people leader with experience in hiring, coaching, and mentoring a team of professionals to anticipate needs and achieve short and long-term goals.
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence decisions in a matrix organization.
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Shown positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- ERP software - Oracle (preferred)
- Current driver’s license

Supply Chain Manager I
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 8 year’s experience
- The base pay range for this role is $107,200 - $160,800
Supply Chain Manager II
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years experience
- The base pay range for this role is $116,900 - $175,400
(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
