Order Fulfilment Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Bengaluru, India
Industry: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) / Energy Storage Manufacturing
Position Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing the Global Master Schedule (GMS) to ensure material readiness, schedule accuracy, and on-time execution across the global Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply chain. This role serves as a key link between Master Scheduling, Supply Planning, Procurement, Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners, Suppliers, and Logistics to maintain schedule integrity and support customer delivery commitments.
The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating global manufacturing schedules, supplier commitments, logistics activities, and material readiness across Contract Manufacturing environments. This individual will leverage SAP/ERP systems and planning tools to support schedule execution, improve operational visibility, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Coordination
- Maintain and update the Global Master Schedule to support manufacturing execution and customer delivery requirements.
- Coordinate schedule updates based on material availability, supplier commitments, manufacturing progress, and customer priorities.
- Monitor schedule adherence and communicate execution risks, delays, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
- Support execution of the Master Production Schedule by ensuring schedule accuracy and timely updates.
- Escalate scheduling issues impacting customer deliveries, On-Time Delivery (OTD), or revenue commitments.
Material & Supplier Coordination
- Coordinate inbound material schedules to ensure material readiness for manufacturing.
- Partner with Procurement and Buyers to monitor purchase order execution and supplier commitments.
- Track material availability, purchase order status, and supplier delivery performance.
- Support resolution of material shortages and supply constraints through cross-functional coordination.
- Ensure critical materials remain aligned with manufacturing schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Contract Manufacturing & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate manufacturing schedules and execution updates with assigned Contract Manufacturing partners.
- Monitor manufacturing progress, shipment readiness, and production milestones against the Global Master Schedule.
- Partner with Global Logistics teams to coordinate inbound material deliveries and outbound customer shipments.
- Ensure supplier and customer deliveries are executed in accordance with agreed Incoterms and contractual delivery dates.
- Support OTD and revenue objectives by proactively identifying and resolving logistics and execution risks.
Cross-Functional Planning
- Collaborate with Master Scheduling, Supply Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams to support schedule execution.
- Coordinate with Contract Manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturing activities remain aligned with the Global Master Schedule.
- Support New Product Introductions (NPI), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), supplier transitions, and manufacturing ramp-up activities.
- Communicate schedule constraints, material shortages, logistics risks, and recovery plans to key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes, execution visibility, and cross-functional collaboration.
ERP & Planning System Excellence
- Maintain scheduling information and execution status within SAP and associated ERP/MRP planning systems.
- Ensure the accuracy of purchase order milestones, material status, shipment information, and scheduling data.
- Generate scheduling reports, dashboards, and execution metrics to support operational decision-making.
- Drive compliance with scheduling processes, planning standards, and system data integrity.
- Support automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across planning systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Scheduling, Supply Chain, Materials Coordination, Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, or related functions.
- Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
- Experience coordinating Contract Manufacturing partners, suppliers, and logistics providers within a global supply chain.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, purchase order management, logistics coordination, and material scheduling.
- Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
- Experience maintaining Global Master Schedules (GMS) or Master Production Schedules (MPS).
- Knowledge of international logistics processes, Incoterms, and supplier management.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Advanced capabilities in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and supply chain analytics.
- Experience working within global, multi-region planning organizations.
