HSQE Advisor – Systems Lead

Permanent / Hybrid Working Pattern (3 days office/2 days at home)

Purpose

As HSEQ Systems Lead, you will support the Senior Analyst and Head of Operational Planning to manage, monitor and continuously improve quality systems and performance, facilitating and integrating Operational Excellence initiatives into the business processes.

You will deliver the business audit plan for both internal and external Stakeholders, managing audit actions and monitoring the close out of corrective actions.

Responsibility includes managing the Transmission Network Operations documentation library, leading document, policy reviews and updates, as well as administering scorecard reporting metrics to ensure data is accurate and meets the required governance standards.

As HSQE Advisor – Systems Lead, you will be responsible for the establishment, communication and continual improvement of the IMS processes, including the management of the process flow mapping of the business and associated documentation.

With responsibility and authority for the business IMS, complying with appropriate external accreditation with respect to HSEQ e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, you will establish and maintain a risk management framework for managing risk within SP Energy Networks.

Monitoring and reporting to senior management with status against business H&S, Quality and Environmental objectives, you will be responsible for all communication with respect to the IMS (updates, new processes) within Transmission Network Operations.

Developing planned inspections within the business against compliance with the IMS, including follow-up reports and communication with affected delivery units, you will also develop and maintain an annual plan of internal audits against the IMS and wider requirements of external Accreditations.

Acting as a centralised function for the coordination of non-conformities (and corrective actions) within Transmission Networks Operations, you will be the single point of co-ordination for all HSQE monthly statistical analysis and reporting.

What you’ll bring

The successful candidate will have working knowledge of relevant ISO standards and strong influencing, consulting and communication skills, promoting confidence to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside strong planning and analytical abilities, with the capability to anticipate challenges and implement practical solutions.

Experience of collaborating with Contractors is important, as is the ability to plan and deliver work programmes independently and autonomously.

You will possess experience working within an Engineering or Construction-related environment and be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

A current valid driving licence is required, along with a willingness to travel throughout the SP Energy Networks Transmission licence area and on occasion, further afield.
